The ocean has always been my greatest muse. There is something profoundly beautiful about the way the sea refuses to be tamed—wild, rhythmic, and free.
It was this love for the organic and the imperfect that led me to the Baroque Pearl. Unlike the perfectly round pearls found in traditional jewelry boxes, baroque pearls are shaped by the currents. No two are ever alike. Each one carries its own "birthmark," a unique story written by nature itself.
Hi, I’m Mae, the founder of Pearltide.
Growing up by the sea, pearls have always been more than just jewelry to me. They are echoes of the tides and cherished memories of my childhood—a constant, gentle presence from the ocean.
After graduation, I immersed myself in the fashion industry, gaining a deep understanding not just of products, but of the women who wear them. However, the true inspiration for Pearltide arrived when I became a mother.
That shift in identity taught me a profound lesson: becoming a mom doesn't mean losing yourself. On the contrary, it is a reminder to love yourself more tenderly, to pursue your passions, and to stand as a shining example for your children.
In 2025, blending my deep roots in the industry with my love for the ocean, Pearltide was born.
We champion the Baroque pearl—nature’s beautiful "rebel." Refusing to be uniformly round, each pearl holds a shape that can never be replicated. We believe they are just like every woman: undefined by others, perfectly imperfect, and born unique.
